SCRIPTURE:
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
(Colossians 1:25-27)
DEVOTIONAL:
When I was a little kid, I was completely possessed with the idea that I was Superman. After school, I’d race over to a neighborhood lady’s house to watch “Superman,” which came on at 3:30 because we didn’t have a TV in those days. Watching this every day, I came to believe that I was “faster than a speeding bullet” just like Superman!
One of the things that is a roadblock to our development is how we see ourselves. Sometimes, we tend to see ourselves according to how others see us. But, we need to see ourselves as God sees us. The Bible is like a mirror, only when you look in it, you don’t see “you” the way others or even yourself does—you see you the way God sees you.
God sees you through Christ. Keep looking in the Bible and it will begin to build an image on the inside of you. You are not limited to what you can be, what you can do, or what you can have. Christ (the Anointed One and His anointing) in you is your hope of glory. Whatever obstacles or problems you are facing today, turn them over to Jesus Christ and believe that He will empower you to rise to the top and experience victory in your situation.
PRAYER:
Lord, I thank you that Christ lives inside of me. I don’t look at the natural circumstances, but I look at my situation according to your Word. You see me victorious. I declare that I have overcome (name your need) and You have given me the victory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
