SCRIPTURE:
Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
(Psalm 105:15)
DEVOTIONAL:
At a time when Judah and Jerusalem were facing a great battle, full of fear being outnumbered by their enemies, Jehoshaphat encouraged them with these words: “Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed” (2 Chronicles 20:20 NLT).
Today’s scripture (Psalm 105:15) describes God’s attitude concerning His prophets. He is very protective of His prophets and the anointing that He has given them. During the battle I mentioned, the Lord defeated Judah and Jerusalem’s enemies without one casualty for His people—all because they trusted Him and the word delivered by His prophets.
If God was quick to execute vengeance against those who spoke evil or attempted to harm His prophets then, how much more now that we are His very own blood-bought children, will He come to our rescue? Honor and believe those He has placed in authority in the Body of Christ and you can count on the Lord’s protection in your life. He will watch over you, your family, and all that’s important to you.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank you for the men and women of God You have placed in the Body of Christ. I receive and esteem Your prophets and all the ministry gifts You have anointed and placed in the Church. I pray today that You cover my family and me with Your hand of protection. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
