SCRIPTURE:
After Lot separated from him, God said to Abram, “Open your eyes, look around. Look north, south, east, and west. Everything you see, the whole land spread out before you, I will give to you and your children forever. I’ll make your descendants like dust—counting your descendants will be as impossible as counting the dust of the Earth. So—on your feet, get moving! Walk through the country, its length and breadth; I’m giving it all to you.”
(Genesis 13:14–17 MSG)
DEVOTIONAL:
Throughout history kings were assigned the responsibility for waging war and taking ground for their kingdoms. The LORD told Joshua, “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses” (Joshua 1:3). And, in the book of Psalms it says, “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession” (Psalm 2:8).
Today, we have this same principle with the modern-day kings, the anointed marketplace ministers. God is still very much interested in His people possessing the land, and every inch of ground that is to be taken now, as in the past, has to be fought for…Their responsibility is the same as God gave Adam, to have dominion over this planet and over all of its resources and revenues. From economics and business to education and politics, the kingdom is to rule over everything, including the judiciary system and the laws of the land. We are the King’s representatives to enforce the kingdom culture.
The earth is part of the territory that belongs to the kingdom of God and, again, “His kingdom rules over all”…everything. Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the LORD’s….” The Church’s job is to bring the government of heaven to bear upon the earth wherever we are.
Take your place as a “king”— an anointed marketplace minister—today!
PRAYER:
Father, thank you that You have made Your people to be kings and priests in Your kingdom upon this earth. I receive my kingdom assignment and marketplace anointing. I purpose to take dominion over the land and resources You’ve put in my charge—all for Your glory! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
