SCRIPTURE:
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions, or whatever is trusted in).

DEVOTIONAL:
Through what Christ did on the cross at Calvary, those who believe in Him have received the blessing of Abraham. God made Abraham and his descendants wealthy in worldly goods, but they never lost their focus on God.
This week’s scripture cautions believers to have the right mindset concerning God’s financial blessings. First, we must remember where it comes from—the Lord! Second, we must place our trust in God, not in our money or possessions. He alone must be our Source!
God looks on the heart. What is your motive for accumulating riches? How will you spend your money? God desires to bless you and me, but not just for ourselves, but for others, too. God told Abraham, “You are blessed to be a blessing,” This is what He says to us today.
Choose whom you will serve—Will it be God and others? As you make right choices and do what pleases Him, God will increase you above your wildest expectations.
PRAYER:
Lord, I thank you for financial breakthrough and Your abundant provision. Help me to have the right mindset and perspective about money. Father, send those in need across my path today that I might “be blessed to be a blessing” to others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
