SCRIPTURE:
For it is the day of the LORD’s vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.
(Isaiah 38:4)
DEVOTIONAL:
We are living in a time and season when the kingdom or a new government of God is being established throughout the earth. It’s a time when every spiritual force that has been assisting the ungodly against God’s end-time army of believers will now be put down. This is a part of what the Bible calls “the day of the LORD’s vengeance and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion” (Isaiah 34:8).
The Message translation (MSG) says, “It’s God’s scheduled time for vengeance, the year all Zion’s accounts are settled.” A time when Isaiah prophesies that the Lord will “comfort Zion”…when “mourning is turned to dancing.”
All that has been harassing or causing dishonor to the believers; everything standing against our lives, careers, businesses, fruitfulness, and making God’s people uncomfortable will be removed. This season, which has already begun, is a time when the Church will be distinguished above all nations of the earth as she moves into her prophetic destiny of prominence and dominance.
Trust God to fulfill His vengeance against the wrongs that have been done against you—and that you will receive recompense (payment, compensation) for what you have suffered or lost.
PRAYER:
Dear God, Thank you that though You are a God of love and compassion, You are also a God of vengeance. You have not forgotten how I’ve been hurt and wronged, and I understand that it is the devil that is the perpetrator, not people. It is now time that You will execute Your vengeance in my behalf to bring about the recompense due me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
